Job Profile

Join our team as a Tactical Controller in Columbus, OHAs a Tactical Controller, you'll take charge of the Tactical Phase of flights - from the very start to the completion of post-flight operations. Your role will include full overview of the fleet on a Tactical level by adhering to the required procedures. Rotating schedule - 10 hours each shift, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Updating and maintaining the daily tactical log 
  • Exercise Movement Control and Flight Tracking with precision 
  • Handle irregular operations swiftly, communicating delays, diversions, last-minute changes and other potential schedule disruptions 
  • Monitor crew briefing acknowledgements and making crew activations / wake-up calls as applicable by relevant AOC`s procedures 
  • Monitor ATFM restrictions and Flight re-routing 
  • Manage Ground arrangements and permits crucial to the day's flight, inlcuding close-out messages and ETA updates to CBP 
  • ATS FPL management and weather monitoring  

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a course of study/major in business, aviation, or operations management; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of an organization 
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations pertaining to Part 91, 121, 125 or 135 airline operations preferred 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and aptitude to learn customized company software programs 
  • Knowledge of core job competencies including, but not limited to, flight planning, international operations, weather, and ATC
