Much like the travel plans of our clients, our horizons and resources are always expanding which is why VistaJet is seeking highly motivated Crew Schedulers to join VistaJet’s OCC in Luqa, Malta.

 

Reporting to the Head of OCC, you will be maximizing flight crew utilization to ensure the most efficient use of the fleet. As a Crew Scheduler, you will develop an extensive knowledge of industry regulations to accurately schedule crew for flight duties. Full training will be provided for all new joiners and supported by a growing team within our Operations Center.

 

Throughout your career with VistaJet you will have the opportunity to work across all facets of flight operations. Starting as a Crew Scheduler with potential to progress to other roles within OCC and get more involved in flight following, fleet scheduling, operational feasibility, or as a Duty Manager, overseeing and ensuring smooth aircraft operations of the entire company.

Your Responsibilities

To succeed as a Crew Scheduler, you will be a strategic problem-solver who can see the bigger picture, while also giving attention to details in the crew scheduling process. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Resource planning/ scheduling of flight crew to ensure maximum utilization of the fleet;
  • Monitoring daily and forecasting crew duties to ensure it stays within industry required limits;
  • Informing flight crew of changes that occur to their rosters;
  • Coordinating flight crew accommodation and transportation;
  • Coordinating roster changes in case of sickness or other unavailability at short notice;
  • Working with and updating the respective databases and tracking programs.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English;
  • Experience maintaining rosters, resource planning, or moving people around at large volumes is desirable;
  • A working knowledge of EU-OPS Subpart Q is preferable;
  • Proven experience using Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a clear communication style that will enable you to ensure that crew are fully briefed for their roster and any changes;
  • As well as good mathematics skills, you will possess an analytical mindset and can take care of completing tasks all at one time;
  • You have a “can-do” attitude and you’re committed to maintaining outstanding levels of customer service; even when under pressure you remain dynamic and flexible;
  • You’re a highly determined fast learner who can work collaboratively with your teammates, but also independently when required to get the job done.

VistaJet’s OCC covers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In this role you will work a shift pattern of four consecutive 12-hour shifts, including both day and night shifts, followed by four consecutive days off.
