A central, dedicated, procurement team based out of Malta oversees and leads all company global negotiations and procurement agreements. We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Officer to complement this rapidly growing team of industry professionals.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost and shipment capabilities;
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify alternative suppliers;
  • Get involved in negotiations on pricing and terms under the Purchasing Manager’s guidance;
  • Ensure all negotiations and agreements align with the organisation’s budget and standards;
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is maintained;
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and track until orders are delivered;
  • Collaborate with team members on various initiatives and projects to optimise operational and cost efficiencies;
  • Provide regular updates on procurement activities to management;
  • Engage in the workplace with enthusiasm, perseverance, a positive attitude, and flexibility to compliment Vista’s organisational culture.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Previous experience in procurement;
  • Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work under own initiative, independently as well as within a team;
  • Willing to travel if/when required;
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
