Job Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Software Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing finance applications and services. This role is ideal for a candidate with robust full-stack development experience, deep cloud expertise, and a strong commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. If you thrive in agile environments, excel in technical leadership, and are passionate about deploying scalable, high-quality software solutions, we’d love to hear from you.

Vista Tech plays a vital role in the Vista group operations by delivering and accelerating comprehensive technology solutions across all brands. Vista’s end-to-end and click-to-flight solutions offer the industry's only comprehensive flight booking platform, seamlessly integrating global operations, and leveraging AI and machine learning to optimize pricing and fleet movement.  Comprised of the Product Management, Engineering, and IT teams, Vista Tech’s mission is to enhance transparency and accessibility in private aviation through the development of the world's largest digital private aviation marketplace. In achieving this, Vista Tech always ensures the utmost safety and efficiency for FLIGHT CREW, EMPLOYEES and Members, while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Your Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Development: Architect, design, and implement full-stack solutions that drive our finance applications forward. Engage in hands-on coding, UI/UX prototyping, and the seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
  • Cloud & DevOps Excellence: Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based and serverless solutions using modern tools and services. Leverage containerization (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable deployments while emphasizing automation and efficiency.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Build robust systems for testing, monitoring, and continuous delivery. Champion software architecture best practices and ensure that our solutions meet high-performance and security standards.
  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including project managers, solution architects, and security experts—to drive innovation and maintain an optimal technology stack. Provide technical consultation and actively participate in architectural discussions to refine our solutions.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Analyze complex technical challenges within the finance domain, propose optimized solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging both academic insights and hands-on experience.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of learning by engaging in code reviews, pair programming, and technical brown bag sessions. Actively mentor team members and contribute to the overall improvement of development practices.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer and electrical engineering, or equivalent technical experience (prefer graduate degree).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and serverless architecture, alongside a strong familiarity with containerization and CI/CD practices.
  • Expertise in object-oriented programming and modern programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related frameworks.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. A proven track record of applying these concepts pragmatically in real-world scenarios is essential—adapting best practices to suit dynamic project environments rather than adhering strictly to textbook definitions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a talent for dissecting complex issues. Excellent communication skills are essential for articulating technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate in distributed teams and manage projects remotely.
