We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to carry out high-quality preparation, painting, and finishing of aircraft and components. The successful candidate will ensure all work meets industry, safety, and regulatory standards, with a strong focus on precision, compliance, and attention to detail. This hands-on role is key to maintaining the performance and appearance of our aircraft and will operate Monday-Friday 7 AM to 3:30 PM. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, stripping old paint and cleaning.
  • Mix and apply primer, topcoats and specialized coatings using HVLP spray equipment.
  • Ensure accurate colour matching and consistent application for aesthetics and corrosion protection.
  • Application of sealant afterpanel refit to the highest standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, paint schemes and work orders.
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations including COSHH and PPE use.
  • Maintain clean and organised work areas and paint booths.
  • Conduct quality inspections and make necessary corrections.
  • Complete all required paperwork and job cards in line with Part145/MRO procedures.
  • Any other reasonable request from management in line with the Aircraft Painter role.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience as an Aircraft Painter or similar role in aerospace sectors.
  • Familiarity with aircraft painting techniques and tools (e.g. spray guns, masking techniques)
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations (EASA/CAA/Part 145)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and paint specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment (e.g. confined spaces and at height).
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable: 

  • Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Maintenance, Surface Finishing or a related field.
  • Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, EWIS and other industry recognized training.
  • Experience in commercial or military aviation sectors.
