As part of our continued expansion, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Aircraft Parts & Inventory Specialist to support our dynamic maintenance operations. This is a key role within our Hamburg office, where you'll be instrumental in ensuring aircraft readiness by sourcing, purchasing, and managing parts and materials. Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance and will perform all functions related to sourcing, buying and repair of materials.

 

Sourcing of materials to secure the best value for the company, writing purchase orders, and generating repair orders

  • Determining most appropriate logistical need to transport parts to aircraft
  • Expediting parts to meet operational requirements
  • Coordinating with Maintenance Operations Center and Planning to ensure that all materials arrive as needed
  • Communicate and resolve aircraft material issues with Engineering, Maintenance, and Maintenance Planning
  • Initiating and Tracking shipment orders to delivery of parts and core returns
  • Support in Customs Clearing where needed
  • Updating of information and communication systems
  • Performing clerical duties as assigned, such as updating cost databases, participating in the daily team meeting and some ‘on-call’ duties as required

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Logistics or Purchasing
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
  • Proven ability to take initiative, prioritize assignments and work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively and be an effective member of the team in a fast-paced safety sensitive environment
  • Experience in either of the following is preferred but not essential:
    • Working in an aircraft maintenance environment
    • Purchasing aircraft parts
    • Performing inventories of parts and consumables
    • Purchasing and inventory management
  • Preferably possesses familiarity with industry standards
  • Capable of coordinating and prioritizing requests in an organized, urgent manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and German
  • Additional, advantageous experience:
    • Customs broker experience and knowledge of international shipping requirements
    • Knowledge of Hazardous Material shipping requirements
