Vista Members’ fleet of  super mid-size, long-range and ultra-long-range aircraft. The Maintenance team provides a robust regional support network for Vista’s growing fleet, working across various maintenance sites with one of the leading base maintenance facilities in the world, taking care since 2004.

 

Based at our company headquarters at Malta International Airport, The Maintenance Planner reports directly to the Planning Manager and prepares and monitors the progress of time critical maintenance inputs from start to finish, thus ensuring a smooth maintenance event for the production team and aircraft operator.

Your Responsibilities

eporting to the Planning Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Forecast and coordinate the scheduling of maintenance requirements on company aircraft;
  • Evaluations and assessment of maintenance proposals for decision making;
  • Contracting of schedule maintenance;
  • Generation, monitoring and updating of work packages for all scheduled maintenance tasks utilizing the company computerized maintenance system;
  • Review aircraft work packages to ensure they are in compliance with all applicable regulations and Technical Operation Procedures;
  • Reporting back of work packages via the computerized maintenance system. Monitoring the updated of work packages in the system, reporting errors and inconsistencies;
  • Enter all daily aircraft maintenance discrepancies and work packages into appropriate database or tracking systems;
  • Maintain aircraft records and time control systems on life limited components and aircraft maintenance services to ensure compliance with EASA and company requirements;
  • Create and maintain an organized file for each aircraft’s permanent records;
  • Monitor aircraft records to assure accuracy of component scheduled and subsequent record entries by performing periodic computer record system audits;
  • Assist in ensuring all accomplished scheduled maintenance forms, AD’s, SB’s, etc. are properly installed in the permanent aircraft log;
  • Audit and update as necessary computer tracking systems to reflect latest dates for time controlled inspections, life limited parts, AD compliance and company imposed limits;
  • Communicate corrections and/or updates to the computer tracking systems with the appropriates departments;
  • Perform forecast reporting for operational planning purposes;
  • Incorporate maintenance plan into company IT system;
  • Any additional duties deemed necessary by Management.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent or additional experience in pertinent aviation environment;
  • Two years of exposure in a relevant aviation environment, including aircraft technical documentation experience;
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft system and components;
  • Familiar with applicable EASA regulations, manufacturer’s maintenance programs and Minimum Equipment list (MEL) and their use within Maintenance control and Maintenance Planning areas;
  • Basic knowledge in CAMP/MRO program requirements;
  • Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email and web-based applications;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

Additional / advantageous:

  • ATA spec 104 Level I training on minimum one type relevant to VistaJet;
  • Fuel Tank Safety Training (Level II);
  • EWIS Target Group 3,4 and 5;
  • Technical Records management experience.
