Vista Aircraft Maintenance

Vista Aircraft Maintenance provides both line and base maintenance for the fleet. The team ensures aircraft safety, reliability, and availability through rigorous standards, proactive maintenance, and a global network of facilities. 

Working across different specialties, VAM prepares aircraft for every flight with a focus on precision, quality, and compliance. By maintaining the highest standards in both safety and attention to detail, the team plays a critical role in ensuring consistent fleet performance and a seamless client experience. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-focused Aircraft Interior / Cabin Specialist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in wood finishing, lacquer spraying, painting, or similar hands-on craftsmanship to develop specialist skills within the private aviation sector.

 

Previous aircraft interior experience is not essential, however, a strong background in working with wood, lacquer, laminates, painting, or similar materials is required. Full training will be provided for component/material-specific tasks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Repairing lacquer finishes to a high cosmetic standard
  • Spraying lacquer and refinishing interior components
  • Sanding and polishing lacquered surfaces
  • Repairing, applying and replacing laminate foil
  • Removing and refitting aircraft cabin interiors
  • Carrying out composite repairs
  • Adjusting and aligning cabin fittings
  • Working with basic hand tools and heavy workshop machinery confidently and safely
  • Ensuring all work meets high quality and safety standards
  • Completing tasks efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Experience in wood finishing, lacquer spraying, painting, laminating, or similar hands-on practical trades
  • Confident use of basic hand tools
  • A keen eye for detail; perfectionist mindset essential
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility and commitment to completing tasks effectively
  • Positive attitude toward learning and self-improvement
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work abroad occasionally
  • Physically capable of working within aircraft cabins (confined and awkward spaces)
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
