Job Profile

The Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in protecting Vista from legal, regulatory, financial, and reputational risk by ensuring compliance with global laws. This role focuses on screening, reviewing, and escalating potential sanctions concerns related to customers, bookings, payments, business partners, and operational activities across Vista’s global network.

Your Responsibilities

The analyst will work closely with Compliance, Legal, Finance, Commercial, and operational teams to ensure that Vista maintains a robust and efficient compliance framework.

  • Conduct daily sanctions screening of passenger bookings, payment transactions, and business partners using approved screening tools.
  • Review and analyse potential sanctions “hits” to determine whether they are true matches, false positives, or require escalation.
  • Investigate cases involving sanctioned individuals, entities, restricted countries, or flight destinations.
  • Ensure adherence to sanctions regulations in the relevant jurisdictions in which Vista operates.
  • Monitor changes to global sanctions regimes and assess their impact on routes, customers, and airline operations.
  • Support the AML Officer with ongoing AML and KYC reviews and maintenance of the AML framework
  • Support the Compliance team in completing compliance risk assessments and enhance the compliance framework accordingly.
  • Support preparation of internal reports, compliance dashboards, and regulatory notifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to sanctions decisions, investigations, and escalations.
  • Assist in updating sanctions policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Support the delivery of sanctions awareness training to frontline and commercial staff across the business.
  • Support ongoing optimisation of automated screening systems, data quality, and matching logic.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Experience in sanctions compliance, financial crime, AML, risk management, or related investigative roles.
  • Strong understanding of global sanctions frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory language and apply it to real-world operations.
  • Strong written communication skills for documenting assessments and decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make time‑critical decisions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • High level of integrity and sound judgement.
  • Collaborative and comfortable supporting colleagues across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Proactive, curious mindset with a strong risk sense and willingness to challenge.
  • Commercial acumen with good level of business exposure, ideally in the airline or related industry.
