We are now seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team at our Malta Headquarters staff canteen. This role is ideal for a motivated chef who thrives in a high-volume, professional environment and takes pride in delivering fresh, high-quality meals that support the wellbeing and experience of our employees.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the staff canteen kitchen
  • Take ownership of your designated section, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality across all meals served
  • Prepare and present nutritious, well-balanced dishes for a diverse, international workforce
  • Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene within a canteen environment
  • Assist in managing stock levels, ordering, and minimising waste to ensure cost-effective operations
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior kitchen team members
  • Contribute ideas to menu planning, focusing on variety, seasonality, and employee satisfaction

 

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the same position is required.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Creativity and a passion for developing new recipes
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset
