We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Demi Chef de Partie to join our team at our Malta Headquarters staff canteen. This is a great opportunity for a developing chef who is keen to build their experience in a structured, high-volume kitchen environment, contributing to the delivery of fresh, high-quality meals for our employees.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals in line with the Head Chef’s direction, ensuring consistency, quality, and food safety standards are met
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation within a busy canteen setting
  • Monitor ingredients and report shortages or quality concerns to senior kitchen staff
  • Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
  • Support senior chefs and work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team
  • Assist with the preparation of a variety of dishes, contributing ideas where appropriate
  • Remain flexible and support different kitchen sections as required to meet operational demands

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in the role, or an ambitious Commis Chef ready to step up and prove themselves.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Creativity and a passion for developing new recipes
  • A positive attitude and a genuine hunger to learn and develop new skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to pitch in wherever the kitchen needs you most
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset
