Vista Aircraft Maintenance

Vista Aircraft Maintenance provides both line and base maintenance for the fleet. The team ensures aircraft safety, reliability, and availability through rigorous standards, proactive maintenance, and a global network of facilities. 

Working across different specialties, VAM prepares aircraft for every flight with a focus on precision, quality, and compliance. By maintaining the highest standards in both safety and attention to detail, the team plays a critical role in ensuring consistent fleet performance and a seamless client experience. 

We are recruiting experienced Aircraft Mechanics to join our teams in Farnborough. You will be responsible for carrying out non-certifying aircraft maintenance, repair, and servicing tasks in accordance with company procedures, safety regulations, and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and/or EASA Part-145 requirements. The Aircraft Mechanic supports Aircraft Managers and Licensed Aircraft Engineers by performing both line and base maintenance to ensure aircraft are airworthy and ready for operation.

 

We are recruiting a Supply Chain manager to join our team in Farnborough.

Your Responsibilities

  • As an integral part of the MRO management team, you will ensure strong, positive and effective communication and engagement with other departments within the MRO as well as CAMO, MOC, Compliance, Finance, H&S etc and the wider business.
  • Provide leadership to purchasing, logistics and stores team across Vista Aircraft Maintenance, and in support of Vista’s wider global operation. Assuming direct line management responsibility the right candidate will provide direction and support, encouragement and development of the team and individuals within their department. Monitor team competence, ensuring annual evaluations are performed and that feedback is provided.
  • Ensure legal, regulatory and procedural compliance for all aspects of the supply chain operation. You will understand the Airworthiness requirements of EASA Part 145 and FAA repair station MRO activity. Also ensuring we adhere to customs and financial limitations that may apply, this applies to activity performed globally both at established base and line facilities and ad-hoc reactive emergent locations.
  • Provide oversight and continuous improvement of procurement support and supplier management and approvals, liaising with the compliance department to ensure we remain compliant, audited and recorded with supporting evidence as applicable.
  • Collate and analyse performance data across the department, instigate, develop and track activity against KPI’s.
  • Provide support to the Stores Manager with team and activity management, ensuring the core requirements of Goods in, goods out, bonded & quarantine stores and inventory, stock, consumables, tooling control and supply meet the demands of engineering production.
  • Liaise with finance to ensure all commercial and financial considerations are satisfied. Ensure cost controls are in place and that cost reduction and efficiency is considered.
  • Ensure rapid response and capability of logistics to support Base, Line and AOG activity globally 24/7.
  • Ensure the supply chain team receive the required legal/regulatory training as may be required.
  • Ensure that any applicable environmental requirements are complied with. Maintain environmental licences as required
  • Responsible for information security associated with the role and department.
  • Responsible for supply chain risk management, tracking and mitigations.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Previous experience working within a Part 145 MRO environment across multiple departments of a typical supply chain capability.
  • Familiarity with import/export clearance (how to provide clearance instructions)
  • Experience with supplier account setup, finance and compliance aspects, negotiating credit terms and prices with suppliers and freight.
  • Strong communicator, good at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with supply chain software (Corridor advantageous), ERP systems and other associated software, familiar and able to use MS Office software systems.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
  • Have the right to work in the United Kingdom without restriction;
  • Be highly motivated, a great team player with a high level of attention to detail;
  • Must be eligible for an airside pass.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Advantageous to have

  • Direct experience with the following software: Corridor, Centrik, Chrome-river, Traxall.
  • Current human factors and safety management system training.

Working conditions

  • Primarily office-based (at MRO location Farnborough Airport)
  • Occasional visits may be required to other supported bases, offices or suppliers’ locations.
  • Standard weekday hrs Monday to Friday
